1. Art + Digital

The first Russian project to fuse traditional art and cutting-edge technology.

The augmented reality scenarios developed for 10 paintings can be enjoyed via the Cosmodreams AR app available on Google Play and AppStore. It also offers the opportunity to view sculptures and virtually test fit them into any interior of your choosing. In the near future the application will also feature an online art store.

2. Retrofuturism

Paiting: On The Moon, 2018

Marina Fedorova’s artworks are clearly tinted with nostalgia for the outstanding achievements of the Soviet space programme and the ideas expressed in Kir Bulychyov’s sci-fi novels. Today the Russian space agenda has changed, but the memory of Yuri Gagarin’s first spaceflight will stay with us forever. And besides, Bulychyov’s teenage girl character Alisa Seleznyova certainly must be grown up by now!

3. Video Art

The pandemic substantially reshaped the way the project was presented to the public. Initially, no plans were made for the video: it simply did not exist. With the sudden imposition of travel bans and museum closures people were forced to stay at home. This prompted Marina Fedorova to unveil her project online by creating a virtual museum and encouraging viewers from all over the world to visit it. Thus a short digital tour transformed into a 6-minute Space Art Odyssey video complete with an original score composed by Alexander Kolchin specifically for this film. When the exhibition finally opened, it was decided to run the video on a large-scale LED screen installed in the museum space. The film can also be projected onto a spherical dome of any planetarium.

4. Art Memorabilia

The application and website are not the only ways to enhance the viewers’ experience. A full-on immersion is now possible with project memorabilia: the art book, holographic postcards, porcelain Matryoshka dolls, notebooks, and sweaters. Lasting well beyond a one-time exhibition visit, they offer an opportunity to trace important project milestones and acquire limited edition collectibles that will soon become a rarity. Everyday objects can become true art!

5. Community

Every brand makes an effort to attract people and build a dedicated following. We, too, have embarked on this path. Through five different social media channels the project reaches out to almost 2,000 followers. This is just the beginning, but already an important stepping stone for our future growth!
